  • Balearic Islands Vacations

    The Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea are one of Spains unique attractions. The Balearic islands, Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera are located off the east coast of Valencia, Spain. The closest of the Balearic islands lies 85 km from the mainland, the furthest lies 333 km from Valencia Spain.

    The Balearic Islands have a coast line has numerous coves, bays and capes. Some of the Balearic Islands are have rugged landscapes and cliffs. Majorca has the higest mountains, Puig Major reaching 1,445 metres, and Puig de Massanella reaching 1,340 metres in elevation. There is not much rain in the Balearic islands and no large rivers because of the lack of rainfall. The are some very important aquifers that have huge caves of exceptional beauty. To visit them ask for the Drach and the Arta caves in Majorca, and the Xoroi cave in Minorca.

    There are very many beautiful beaches in the Balearic Islands that are great in the summer months.
